winter fun

Hello.  I had some fun with the January Scraptastic Club  Sweater Weather kit + Add On. I was looking in my hard drive of photos and found this gem.  The sweater weather kit was perfect for this photo.  I happily got to work on the layout and came up with this.

I went a little tag crazy on this layout.  I cut some extra tags out of the patterned papers and cut my photo into a large tag shape as well.  This whole tag idea came from those lovely Jillibean Soup craft tags in the kit.

I am loving these new exclusive papers that come in the kits, not to mention the printables.  I love tucking those print and cut labels all over my layouts.

You can check out the kits here @ Scraptastic Club  :)

a couple of layouts

Hello I have a couple of  layouts to share with you today.  I used the January Scraptastic Club kits.  Oh yes by the way, they have a brand new website it's beautiful you should really check it out.  :)  (They are just putting the finishing touches on it.)

I used the TLN kit (this life noted) for my first layout.  I am LOVING! the navy in this kit!  Everything is the kit and accompanying printables except the background papers.

I layered up the cards and also used the print and cut labels and printable files that go with this kit.

I placed the whole thing on white embossed woodgrain paper.  (I embossed it with my cut n'boss)

I have a YT video up for this layout
enjoy!

For my second layout I used This Must Be The Place kit + Add On, also a January Scraptastic Club kit.

I cut the title out of white cardstock (from my stash) on my Silhouette Cameo.  I like the skinny font mixed with the heavy script together.

This kit comes with an awesome vellum ephemera pack by Maggie Holmes.

I punched some strips of paper and added them to the layout to get a layered look.  The cork finished everything off nicely and that was that for this one.  I adore this silly photo of my Niece and her boyfriend from her High School Grad.  My how time flies it feels like I just took this photo.

I have a YT video of this layout as well.
Enjoy!

sunshine Teddy

Today is my last "staycation" day. A nice little mid-winter break, so of course I am spending it in my craftroom :)  I scrapbooked this photo of Teddy simply because it reminded me of that warm summer day (we are in a January freeze here).

I used my cut n'boss & camera folder on this layout.  I inked the folder and embossed on white cardstock, and then tore the paper & arranged in a dark to light gradient on the page.

I cut out some shapes with my silhouette cameo out of textured white cardstock.  I didn't want to add too much color so that my photo would stand out.  This page was getting busy :)

I went through my veneer stash and found some cameras (to repeat the motif) and a few others that fit nicely on the page.

I made a YouTube video of this layout.
Enjoy!

saje

Hi!  Today I have a layout about soap.  Yup soap!  LOL.  I got these all natural soaps from my Mom for Christmas and loved them so much I thought I would scrap it.  I never tried any Saje products before but am hooked now.  I used a bunch of older stuff from my stash for this layout (man that feels good!).

This lucky tag is a die that I cut twice, once with fun foam and then again out of the green leaf paper.  I glued them together and it looks like a chipboard piece.

The glassine bag is filled with die cut tags, and I used the tissue paper from the soap to make a belly band around it.  I love using packaging on my layouts :)

I have a YouTube video for this layout.
Enjoy!

TLN kit layouts

Hello and Happy Friday!   I have a couple of December TLN (this life noted) kit projects from Scraptastic Club.  I started this first layout by choosing the two words "fabulous" and "friend", well because it was perfect for this layout.  My awesome friend went downtown for me to pick up this mister/aromatherapy light cube on boxing day blow-out!  I had to work so would have missed out on this awesome steal.  Enter my "fabulous friend" to the rescue.  LOL.  That is the story on the top tag tucked behind the photo.

I used the stamp packaging that came in the kit to make the tag.

This bottom green tag is a 3 by 4 card that I cut out to layer behind this lovely watercolor card.

A sprinkle of sequins and my page was done :)

My second layout is about the fabulous lunch I had with my Sister.  Again I started my layout with the Heidi Swapp words "together" and "today".

I printed my journaling on vellum (from my stash) and cut it out with a Maggie Holmes Open Book die from THE STORE. (the word lunch are letters from my stash)

I layered the bottom 6 by 4 card with some other cards from the kit and again sprinkled some sequins around the page.

I have a process videos of these layouts for you.
Enjoy!

treat shot

Oh did I have fun making this one!  I was trying so very hard to get an awesome photo like "bordernerd" on instagram.  Well lets just say it was a huge fail.  What I GOT were a bunch of photos like the one on the layout.  LOL!  This one in particular makes me laugh.  So of course I had to scrapbook it.

She is soooo ready for another treat to be thrown!!!

I used all kinds of stuff from my stash on this layout.  October Afternoon pp (arrows), recollections paper (green & craft) and white cardstock that I embossed.  The cork and veneer are from Scraptastic Club.  They had an awesome grab bag of veneer from past kits.

I have a YouTube video of this layout, oh I should warn you I can't stop giggling at the photo during my voice over.  It just never gets old for me this photo :)
Enjoy!

my favorite troublemaker

I have a Christmas layout to share with you.  (Still a bit behind from the holidays)  I used the It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year kit + Add On from Scraptastic Club.  I named this "my favorite troublemaker" simply because she is.  Maggie is having a ball with her new toy and we are all making a mess opening our gifts. She is right in the thick of things, exactly where she loves to be!

The photo is printed on canvas and I really liked how the edges curled up so ran with that idea for the torn layers underneath.  I also love the impact of an extra large photo sprinkled here and there in my albums.

That being said there is not much  room for embellishments so I went with a few large ones.  The white lends some contrast to the photo and the scale of the embellishments worked well.

I added a few adhesive backed rhinestones for shine (from my stash) and that completed the page

I have a YouTube video of the layout.
Enjoy!

Christmas Kit ?!

I must admit I am playing catch-me-up a bit today and posting some Holiday pages :)

This layout was made with the Shake It Off kit + Add On (vellum from my stash) from

I printed my photo as two separate photos and layered them over the snowflake cut file.  I tucked the "here's the story" placemat on top of a vellum tag envelope, and chose a few more embellishments.

I had fun using this kit for a Christmas layout even though that's not it's particular theme.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Pinterest Monday

Hello!  This was a Pinterest Monday post over at Scraptastic Club blog.
I started this layout on my Silhouette by cutting out some circles from the white cardstock.  I used random sizes and arranged them loosely in a tree shape like the pin.  I chose the black background paper for contrast and flecks of color it offers to the page, without being too busy.
I then chose some embellishments from the ephemera pack and added flair, wood veneer...  It was hard to stop!  This kit has so many lovely pieces in it.  (the enamel dots  & ribbon are from my stash)
I placed the two light string veneer overlapping some circles to connect my tree.  Visually it just pulled it all together.
My journaling is on this veneer MERRY tag.  I cut the white cardstock with my craft knife and strategically placed my glue when I mounted it to the black patterned paper so the tag would slide out, and the MERRY veneer keeps it from sliding in to far.
I am having so much fun scrapbooking my Christmas photos with this kit!  Happy to have this "smarties cookie" page documented for my daughter :)
